CLUSTERFUXX EP Available For Free Download

August 5, 2007

Five weeks ago Canada's Moshpit Tragedy Records announced it will give away one of its out-of-print releases for free download from their web site each week for eight weeks.

Moshpit Tragedy co-founder Rayny Forster comments: "Our first eight releases are now out of print and as both a thank you and as a kind of final push to get these releases into the hands of underground music fans, we're offering a high-quality download of one release per week in its entirety — absolutely free of charge. We invite those who missed out on the physical product to check out the bands and enjoy these free MP3s."

Week six (Aug 5-11) comes in with Windsor, Ontario hardcore punks CLUSTERFUXX and the eight tracks that comprised their "Peace" EP, which was released as part of Moshpit Tragedy's "DIY Series".

CLUSTERFUXX formed in 2002 as a bunch of kids with nothing to do except maybe have a couple beers, a couple rails, and play through a set of blistering fast hardcore. The band's practice space was at a storage facility that they would sneak into and party and jam throughout the night. Live sets were known locally to become rowdy, with crowd members singing along to originals and classic covers like NEGATIVE APPROACH, OPERATION IVY, DEAD BOYS, etc. After one particularly rowdy house show (where singer Jay Buzztown was wield across the room by his underpants by one particularly unruly fan, followed by a pile of drunken elbow drops in which the singer received hospital treatment) the band disbanded due not so much to drug problems but the problem of not being able to get any before practice.

CLUSTERFUXX is:

Jay Buzztown - Vocals
Matt Grit - Guitar
Jay Mayor - Bass
Dad - Drums
