CLOUDSCAPE Begin Writing New Material

June 19, 2005

Swedish metallers CLOUDSCAPE are tentatively planning on entering RoastingHouse Studios in Malmö, Sweden in early 2006 to begin recording their sophomore album. The band also hope to get a small tour organized in October in connection with their ProgPower Europe festival appearance in Baarlo, The Netherlands.

In other news, CLOUDSCAPE singer Micael Andersson will appear on Dutch guitarist Marcel Coenen's (SUN CAGED, ex-LEMUR VOICE) forthcoming solo album, which is expected to hit stores this fall. Micael has written the lyrics for one song, entitled "Waiting", and he handles the lead and backing vocals on it as well. More information about this album can be found at www.marcelcoenen.com.

CLOUDSCAPE's self-titled debut album was recorded at RoastingHouse with producers Anders "Theo" Theander (PAIN OF SALVATION, LAST TRIBE, PATHOS) and Pontus Lindmark. Acclaimed guitarist Torben Enevoldsen (SECTION A) contributes a guest solo to the album's opening cut, "As the Light Leads the Way".
