'Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards 2009': Video Footage Available

November 3, 2009

SB Arts TV has posted video footage from last night's Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards 2009, which were held at the Park Lane Hotel in London, England.

Hosted by THUNDER's Danny Bowes, the awards were attended by the biggest names in rock royalty, including Iggy Pop, Ronnie Wood, Tony Iommi and Ginger Baker, all collecting much sought-after Classic Rock magazine awards.

Commemorating their spectacular achievements of touring around the world last year, IRON MAIDEN were honored with the prestigious "Band Of The Year" award and were there on the night to personally accept — as was Tony Iommi of BLACK SABBATH, who was given the award for "Best Reissue" for the deluxe re-releases of BLACK SABBATH's first three albums: "Black Sabbath", "Paranoid" and "Master Of Reality".

Classic Rock's editor-in-chief Scott Rowley said: "It's nice to end the decade on a high, with the fifth and most star-studded Classic Rock Roll Of Honour. Classic Rock is the U.K.'s fastest-growing music monthly — and the ONLY one whose sales went up in 2009. It's going to be a very heavy 2010…"
