'Classic Rock Live' With PIERRE ROBERT To Launch Thanksgiving Weekend

November 16, 2010

Envision Radio Networks, in collaboration with The Guitar Radio Show, LLC, has announced "Classic Rock Live", a brand new two-hour classic rock radio show with recorded live performances hosted by rock radio legend Pierre Robert (WMMR-FM/Philadelphia). "Classic Rock Live" is the latest addition to the extensive lineup of rock programming produced by twenty-year Michigan radio veteran Steve Black, who also produces and hosts America's guitar radio show "The Chop Shop".

"Re-packaging classic rock songs is critical to keeping the format sounding energized," said Black. "'Classic Rock Live' does that, allowing stations to keep their position as the concert leader, without dedicating an entire hour to just one single artist."

"Classic Rock Live" will debut Thanksgiving weekend with a FREE special that is available for broadcast November 24 through November 28. Interested stations should contact Matt Wardlaw at [email protected] or 216-831-3761 for broadcast details.

"Classic Rock Live" is the first radio show to adapt to the way people listen to music today by incorporating ten or more live performances in an hour, featuring rare and exclusive live versions of rock classics from artists including TOM PETTY, AEROSMITH, THE WHO, U2, ERIC CLAPTON, JIMI HENDRIX and STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN. Each week "Classic Rock Live" features the latest tour and artist news, along with segment "Wish You Were There", which highlights rock and roll dream pairings such as Jimmy Page joining AEROSMITH on stage or Roger Waters joined by Eric Clapton. Rarities are played in the "Unreleased Live" segment and the radio show ends each week with an "Encore", featuring the iconic hits that you'll always find in each band's setlist.
