CKY Frontman's WORLD UNDER BLOOD Death Metal Project Putting Finishing Touches On Demo

November 13, 2006

CKY guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller has sent the following updated to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"I am near completion of the three-song demo by my death metal side project WORLD UNDER BLOOD. The three tracks featured are 'Under the Autumn Low', 'God Among the Waste', and 'Dead and Still in Pain'. I want to thank [drummer] Tim Yeung [VITAL REMAINS, HATE ETERNAL] and engineer Logan Mader [MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY] for allowing a comfortable environment that has catered to my desire to create the metal that I wanted to make. All I have left are some vocals and then mixing master James Murphy [TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY] will, as usual, bring it to perfection. In the meantime, I will be recruiting top-notch musicians to fill the lineup to be active during any CKY downtime."

Deron Miller is widely credited for conceiving the long-awaited DEATH tribute project, "Within The Mind - In Homage To The Musical Legacy Of Chuck Schuldiner", as a means to help guitarist James Murphy raise money for his medical bills (Murphy is currently receiving treatment for a massive brain tumor with which he was diagnosed in August 2001).

The project, which has the blessing of the family of late DEATH mastermind Chuck Schuldiner (who passed away in December 2001 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor),has been in the works for the last couple of years and is expected to feature a number of special guest appearances, including those by members of SLIPKNOT, NEVERMORE, FEAR FACTORY, STATIC-X, and MALEVOLENT CREATION.
