CHIMAIRA Guitarist ROB ARNOLD Interviewed In Rochester

Mike Suicide of RockMusicStar.com conducted an interview with CHIMAIRA guitarist Rob Arnold on July 31, 2009 in Rochester, new York. Watch the chat below.

CHIMAIRA will embark on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in January 2010. Support on the trek will come from DOUBLE DRAGON.

This will be CHIMAIRA's first headlining Australian tour, having previously played the country as a support act for IN FLAMES, BIOHAZARD and KORN.

The dates are as follows:

Jan. 13 - Capital - Perth, AUS
Jan. 14 - Fowlers Live - Adelaide, AUS (Licensed All Ages)
Jan. 15 - Billboard The Venue - Melbourne, AUS (Over 18s)
Jan. 16 - Billboard the Venue - Melbourne, AUS (Under 18s Afternoon Show)
Jan. 17 – The Hi-Fi - Brisbane, AUS
Jan. 18 - The Metro - Sydney, AUS (Licensed All Ages)
Jan. 20 - The Transmission Room - Auckland, NZ (Licensed All Ages)

Tickets go on sale on Monday, August 17.

CHIMAIRA's new album, "The Infection", entered the official Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) chart at position No. 76. The CD also landed on the chart of the Australian electronics and music retailer JB Hi-Fi at No. 33.

"The Infection" sold 15,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 30 on The Billboard 200 chart.

CHIMAIRA's previous album, "Resurrection", opened with 16,000 copies back in March 2007 to land at No. 42.

CHIMAIRA is currently on the road supporting HATEBREED on the "Decimation Of The Nation" tour that also features heavy hitters WINDS OF PLAGUE, DYING FETUS and TOXIC HOLOCAUST.
