CHILDREN OF BODOM Pulls Out of Poland's HUNTERFEST

August 13, 2006

Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM has been forced to cancel its appearance at the Polish festival Hunterfest. The griup's statement on the matter reads as follows:

"CHILDREN OF BODOM can't travel to Poland for the show on Monday! Due to many problems with the organisation from the promoter's side, we are unable to come and perform on this festival. We are sorry that it's such a short notice, but there was no other way this time. The saddest thing is that we haven't played Poland in years, and it's just so bad luck that these kind of problems occur especially with this show in Poland. There are many things that went wrong, we are sorry that people who bought tickets to see us are the ones who suffer the most!"

CHILDREN OF BODOM's live DVD, "Chaos Ridden Years – Stockholm Knockout Live", is scheduled for release in the U.S. on October 10. The disc is estimated to contain over three hours of non-stop COB action, including a live concert, videos, and a rare documentary on the band from past to present. Directed by Patric Ullaeus of the Revolver Film Company, the DVD will mainly focus on the February 5, 2006 live concert at Arenan in Stockholm, Sweden, featuring over 90 minutes of live excitement.
