CHILDREN OF BODOM Confirm Memorial Gig Appearance
Contrary to previously published reports, it now appears that CHILDREN OF BODOM WILL in fact perform at the memorial concert for FINNTROLL/IMPALED NAZARENE guitarist Teemu "Somnium" Raimoranta. Teemu died Sunday morning (March 16) from injuries sustained in an accidental fall he took while intoxicated.
The gig will take place on Tuesday, March 25 at Nosturi in Helsinki and will feature the following lineup, according to a Spinefarm Records spokesperson:
09:00 p.m. FINNTROLL
09:30 p.m. IMPALED NAZARENE
10:30 p.m. CHILDREN OF BODOM
11:00 p.m. BARATHRUM
12:00 a.m. ENSIFERUM
As previously reported, there will be an optional entrance fee of 10 euros, with all proceeds going to Teemu's family to cover various expenses. No alcohol will be sold at the event, at the request of Teemu's mother. Raimoranta's funeral will be held on Saturday, March 29 in Helsinki.
