CHILDREN OF BODOM Completes New Track For 'Viva La Bands, Vol. 2' Compilation

June 20, 2007

According to a posting on the CHILDREN OF BODOM fan site Scythes Of Bodom, the Finnish band played its first gig since November 2006 last Sunday (June 17) at Austria's Nova Rock festival. During the group's 70-minute set, it played all the usual classics, as well as the medley of "Mask Of Sanity" and "Deadnight Warrior". In addition, the song "Children Of Bodom" made its way back into the set.

CHILDREN OF BODOM's setlist was as follows (not in correct order):

01. Hate Me!
02. Children Of Decadence
03. Living Dead Beat
04. Bodom Beach Terror
05. Mask Of Sanity/Deadnight Warrior
06. In Your Face
07. Angels Don't Kill
08. Children Of Bodom
09. Are You Dead Yet?
10. Needled 24/7
11. Sixpounder
12. Downfall

CHILDREN OF BODOM recorded a brand new song at the end of May for the upcoming "Bam Margera Presents…Viva La Bands, Vol. 2" compilation.

"Bam Margera Presents…Viva La Bands, Vol. 2" is the latest in Bam Margera's unique musical vision shared with his fans. The CD/DVD combo will hit stores on September 4, 2007 and feature unreleased tracks from CLUTCH, IN FLAMES, CKY, CHILDREN OF BODOM, VAINS OF JENNA, and more. The compilation will also bring together a slew of Bam's other favorite artists such as GWAR, DIMMU BORGIR and THE SOUNDS. The DVD component to this rocking release contains 30 minutes of never-before-seen Bam footage — a must-have for the "Jackass generation!"

Margera commented on CHILDREN OF BODOM's involvement by saying: "I've loved these guys since the day I got trashed in a Helsinki alley with them. Blazing guitar solos and a full blown metal assault... This new song is going to fucking rock and I'm psyched to see them on 'Viva La Bands 2'. I'd have it no other way!"
