CEPHALIC CARNAGE: New Song Available For Streaming

"Abraxas Of Filth", a brand new song from Denver, Colorado-based technical death/grind metallers CEPHALIC CARNAGE, is available for streaming on he band's MySpace page. The track includes a guest appearance by Ross Dolan of IMMOLATION on backing vocals.

"Abraxas Of Filth" comes off CEPHALIC CARNAGE's new album, "Misled By Certainty", which is scheduled for release on August 31 via Relapse Records. The follow-up to 2007's "Xenosapien" was recorded at the band's own studio with longtime engineer/producer Dave Otero. The CD is described in a press release as a "50-plus-minute journey into metal's most extreme realms" which "see[s] these veterans takes it to edge before pulling it back with 'Repangea', perhaps their most sprawling and epic work to date."

CEPHALIC CARNAGE will embark on the annual Summer Slaughter Tour in mid-July alongside DECAPITATED, THE FACELESS, ALL SHALL PERISH and THE RED CHORD. This will be followed co-headlining tour of Europe with PSYCROPTIC. The European trek, dubbed the "Initiation of The Misled European Tour 2010", kicks off on September 10 in Germany and also includes ION DISSONANCE, HOUR OF PENANCE and DYSCARNATE.

CEPHALIC CARNAGE's last full-length album, "Xenosapien", was released in May 2007 via Relapse Records. The CD was recorded by the band and Dave Otero at their studio in Denver. The album's artwork was designed by Orion Landau.
