CAUGHT IN A TRAP Lines Up East Coast Dates

May 2, 2007

Queens, New York hardcore outfit CAUGHT IN A TRAP has lined up a number of gigs as it prepares for the release of its debut album, "Rats Get Fat". Show dates include separate bills with New York hardcore legends MADBALL, SUBZERO and MURPHY'S LAW.

"Rats Get Fat" was recorded and produced by the legendary Don Fury (AGNOSTIC FRONT, MADBALL, SICK OF IT ALL) in Coney Island, NY and is scheduled to be released on May 22. The four-piece has also just finished a video shoot for the song "Family" that will be released shortly before the album. You can check out a few of the tracks via the band's MySpace page.

CAUGHT IN A TRAP — which mixes old- and new-school hardcore with a heavy punk rock edge that will appeal to fans of MADBALL and SICK OF IT ALL — was spawned into the New York hardcore scene in 2004. The guys released their first demo in 2005 which quickly caught the ears of No Joke Records and the label immediately included them on their "Hardcore at the Shore" 2006 compilation. Between their ever-growing fan base due to amazing live performances and the positive reception to their song "Two Faced" on the compilation, the band was quickly signed and is ready to re-ignite New York hardcore in 2007.
