CARMINE APPICE's 'Ultimate Guitar Zeus' Receives Official Release

Escapi Records has announces the official release of the long-awaited underground classic, "Ultimate Guitar Zeus", created, produced and co-written by drummer Carmine Appice. The CD features performances by 14 of the world's greatest guitar players, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Brian May of QUEEN, Stevie Salas, Slash of VELVET REVOLVER, Steve Morse of DEEP PURPLE, Richie Sambora of BON JOVI, Ty Tabor of KING'S X, Vivian Campbell of DEF LEPPARD, Mick Mars of MÖTLEY CRÜE, Zakk Wylde, Neal Schon of JOURNEY, Pat Travers, Seymour Duncan, Ted Nugent and guest vocalists Edgar Winter and Doug Pinnick.

Previously only available on Appice's web site for fan club members, the release of "Ultimate Guitar Zeus" showcases 14 different stylized electric guitar solos in songs spanning the rock gamut from "Gonna Rain" (BEATLES-esque) and "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" (hard rock style) to "This Time Around" (imagine Yngwie shredding a solo for KING'S X). Between the blues, the psychedelica, and the rave-ups, THE CARMINE APPICE PROJECTAppice, drums/vocals Tony Franklin (ex-THE FIRM),bass Kelly Keeling, lead vocals/guitar — with these particular lead guitarists, has never before sounded so varied, accomplished and downright mean.
