CANDIRIA Hits The Road, Radio Numbers Up

June 17, 2002

CANDIRIA is back on tour of the US, playing cities missed on their April headlining tour with BURNT BY THE SUN. This time, Roadrunner Records' 36 CRAZYFISTS are in tow, and the tour will cover the entire West Coast and Southwest. In the spirit of supporting local scenes across the country, CANDIRIA have directed local promoters to choose deserving acts in their area to fill the opener's slot.

CANDIRIA's new album, The COMA Imprint, on CANDIRIA's new record label venture with Lakeshore Entertainment, will be released to stores on July 2nd, the day the tour plays the legendary Whisky in Los Angeles. The album was released to radio last week, and is getting high numbers on the College Charts (it's number 13 with a bullet up from 27 on the CMJ Loud Chart and number 19 with a bullet from 38 on the main CMJ chart.) The record is also being well received at the commercial metal specialty shows, reflected by this week's number 18 on the Radio and Records chart.

Radio will meet the road on July 14th, when CANDIRIA takes a night off their tour to play live on internet radio station XM Radio. To listen, tune in at this location.
