CAMP FREDDY: 'The Showbiz Show' V-Blog Posted Online

July 1, 2006

A "V-blog" filmed on Wednesday (June 28) in Hollywood, California while CAMP FREDDY were taping an appearance on the "The Showbiz Show with David Spade" on Comedy Central has been posted online at this location (Quicktime required). CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison (ex-THE CULT bassist, current CIRCUS DIABLO vocalist) commented: "It's a little rough around the edges as I have thrown it all together this morning . . . Hope you enjoyed the actual broadcast. They edited the hell out of 'Suffragette City' (no second or third verse or solo!!!) and cut '20th Century Boy' very short. But it was a fun day, David Spade was hilarious, and it is what it is."

CAMP FREDDY is the Los Angeles-based "jam" group featuring Morrison alongside guitarist Dave Navarro (ex-JANE'S ADDICTION, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) and VELVET REVOLVER members Matt Sorum (drums) and Scott Weiland (vocals). The band's next live appearance will take place tonight (July 1) at The Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also appearing will be THE PANIC CHANNEL, the new band featuring three quarters of the most recent lineup of JANE'S ADDICTION (Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Chris Chaney) and former SKYCYCLE vocalist Steve Isaacs.

CAMP FREDDY has been in and out of the recording studio over the past couple of years recording what is expected to eventually be released as the band's debut album. Among the cuts that are set to appear on the effort are a version of Marc Bolan's "20th Century Boy" (featuring CAMP FREDDY's own Donovan Leitch on vocals, and Steve Jones from THE SEX PISTOLS on lead guitar) and THIN LIZZY's "Jailbreak" (featuring ex-ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell on vocals and Billy Duffy [ex-THE CULT] on lead guitar). Other guest musicians include RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith and singer Macy Gray.
