BURST Cancel Headlining Tour, Announce European Dates With OPETH

October 5, 2005

Sweden's BURST have issued the following update:

"It is not without regret BURST has to cancel the U.K. headline dates that we had scheduled for the end of October. We were looking forward to meeting the fantastic audience in the U.K. again, on our own this time. However, we have been given the chance to join the band OPETH for a full European tour through November-December. This is something we feel we cannot miss, since OPETH are one of the few Swedish/European bands we are collectively fond of and feel some sort of affiliation with. Joining them for their tour meant postponing our own U.K. dates, as well as the headline dates we were planning in Europe. We hope that this hasn't caused any problems for anybody planning to go to our shows in October, and we hope you can instead make it to one of the OPETH/BURST shows. We will be back in the U.K. for a headline tour around February, and we'll slit our wrists before cancelling that (barring a tour offer from SLAYER, THE MELVINS or BO DIDDLEY)."
