BOLT THROWER To Play First U.S. Show In 14 Years At MARYLAND DEATHFEST

October 30, 2008

British extreme metal pioneers BOLT THROWER will play their first U.S. show in 14 years at next year's edition of the Maryland Deathfest, set to take place May 22-24, 2009 at the Sonar in Baltimore, MD. Also newly confirmed for the event are ENSLAVED, MARDUK, ABSU, THE RED CHORD and ROTTEN SOUND, among many others.

Commented BOLT THROWER in a statement: "Due to the fact that we are not real festival lovers or great fans of flying, the chances of us ever coming to the States for a one-off show was always very small. But after years of relentless emails from Ryan [Maryland Deathfest organizer], we've finally given in. It's hard to believe that it's been 14 years since we last played in the U.S., so we are very happy to announce that we are finally coming back. Also, in a few weeks time we will be announcing the only European festival show we will be playing next year."
