BLOTTED SCIENCE: 'The Machinations Of Dementia' Release Date Announced

August 30, 2007

BLOTTED SCIENCE, the instrumental extreme metal triumvirate featuring guitarist Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER, SPASTIC INK, MARTY FRIEDMAN),bassist Alex Webster (CANNIBAL CORPSE, HATE ETERNAL),and drummer Charlie Zeleny (BEHOLD...THE ARCTOPUS, JORDAN RUDESS),has set a September 18 release date for its highly anticipated debut, "The Machinations of Dementia". The album was produced and mixed by Ron Jarzombek and mastered by Danish studio whiz Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, DESTRUCTION, RAUNCHY) at Hansen Studios; it will be issued through Jarzombek's EclecticElectric label.

"I know I speak for the whole band when I say that I am extremely pleased with how everything turned out, especially considering the obstacles we had overcome early on with both Chris Adler (LAMB OF GOD) and Derek Roddy (HATE ETERNAL, NILE) leaving," states Jarzombek. "But 'everything happens for a reason,' and I don't think anyone that knows Alex, Charlie and myself from our other bands will be disappointed when they hear 'Machinations....'. This is some of the most relentless and insane and definitely the heaviest stuff I've ever done. Collaborating with Alex on BLOTTED SCIENCE was a great experience and I think we both pushed each other in ways we might've not explored otherwise. And, luckily, we found Charlie who just kills it on the drums and unleashes another layer of insanity!"

Extended samples of two BLOTTED SCIENCE tracks, "Bleeding In The Brain" and "Night Terror", can be heard on the band's MySpace page. The striking "The Machinations of Dementia" album cover artwork, which was created by San Antonio, TX-based artist Anthony Alanis of DreamDistort, can be viewed at this location.
