Anna Di Laurenzio, the tour manager for former IRON MAIDEN/WOLFSBANE frontman Blaze Bayley has issued the following update:"The [BLAZE BAYLEY] band have now returned from the first leg of the European tour (which has been absolutely fantastic) but the last gig of the tour (in Belgium yesterday) had to be cancelled at very short notice and we would like to apologise to fans who travelled to the gig and arrived to find it cancelled. We had no choice as [drummer] Larry [Paterson] was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon with severe blood inflamation and was kept in overnight. He is now back in the U.K. recovering. "Larry struggled through the second Swiss gig and the two German shows but despite his fierce/stubborn determination to soldier on, there was no way he could do the last gig in Belgium. Blaze and the rest of the band remained at the venue to personally let fans know why the gig had been cancelled. "I will be rescheduling this gig for later in the year. "We wish him a speedy drumming recovery." Blaze's new album, "Promise and Terror", was released on February 1. The singer's double live album and live DVD, "The Night That Will Not Die" — recorded on December 13, 2008 at Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland — were released on Blaze Bayley Recordings; the concert was filmed by director Kris McManus and all audio mixed and mastered by producer Jase Edwards. On September 25, 2009, the book "At The End Of The Day" was released. This follows the story of "Blaze" Bayley Cooke from WOLFSBANE to IRON MAIDEN to BLAZE and, ultimately, to the current self-titled BLAZE BAYLEY band. However, this book is not solely about Blaze; rather it tells the story of the entire BLAZE BAYLEY band that is about to begin work on the follow-up to their debut album, "The Man Who Would Not Die". The book traces the history of all the band members, back to their roots in New Zealand, Colombia and…Bristol.
