BLACK TIDE To Release 'Bite The Bullet' EP Next Week

November 4, 2013

Miami-based hard rockers BLACK TIDE will release a new EP, "Bite The Bullet", on November 12. The CD was recorded at Live House studios in the band's hometown with producer/engineer Mariano Aponte (formerly of Silvia Massy's RadioStar Studios). The group states: "We really went back to our roots on this one."

Only two members remain from the lineup that recorded BLACK TIDE's 2011 album "Post Mortem": Gabriel Garcia (vocals, lead guitar) and Austin Diaz (rhythm guitar). They are being joined in the studio by drummer Tim D'Onofrio.

Comments Garcia: "Just so everyone knows…. Austin and I did reach out to Steven [Spence, drums] and Zakk [Sandler, bass] about working on this EP with us. They've moved on to new things. But we are still here and thinking about all of our amazing fans."

A video for the new BLACK TIDE song "Not Afraid" can be seen below.

Upcoming BLACK TIDE shows:

Nov. 27 - Jacksonville, FL - Jack Rabbit
Nov. 29 - Elizabethton, TN - Bonnie Kate Theatre
Nov. 30 - Dayton, OH - McGuffy’s
Dec. 02 - New York, NY - Tobacco Road

"Post Mortem" sold 5,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was made available in August 2011 via DGC/Interscope Records.

"Post Mortem" was written and recorded in the summer of 2010, and was the follow-up to 2008's "Light From Above", which garnered instant critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Spin, Revolver and more.
