BLACK LOTUS RECORDS Announces Formation Of WHEEL OF TIME PRODUCTIONS

December 30, 2005

Greece's Black Lotus Records has announced the formation of a sub-label under the name Wheel Of Time Productions. "Its mission is the restoration and recirculation of certain important albums that marked heavy music in general," reads an official press release. "Albums that got limited distribution on their day, that until recently were thought as 'deleted,' albums which are considered as 'cult' and may be very hard (and expensive) to find.

"Apart from the albums, applicable are also demos and live recordings that until today were never presented officially in their entirety, as well as certain compilations with various alluring contents. All of Wheel Of Time's releases will contain a plethora of bonus tracks such as territorially exclusive tracks, unreleased songs, alternative versions, video clips, etc… The packaging of the CDs will be in luxurious digipack. Some of these albums may also feature embossed artwork and holographic markings. The re-releases will be distributed via the same network of distributors that Black Lotus employs and will enjoy the same amount of promotional activities and publicity as the regular BLR releases. There is a flexible plan to have a few cycles of products each year — but we may also release full catalogues if the opportunity arises.

"We sincerely hope that Wheel Of Time will satisfy record collectors and music enthusiasts alike and even the bands themselves that through this new and exciting sub label they will find an unexpected 'fellow' journeyman in the retrospection of rock music's astonishing past."
