BILLY GOULD Says He Is Not Working With Former FAITH NO MORE Bandmates

August 26, 2003

Former FAITH NO MORE bassist Billy Gould has dismissed as false reports that he has started a new group with vocalist Whitfield Crane (UGLY KID JOE, LIFE OF AGONY, MEDICATION) and ex-FAITH NO MORE guitarist Jon Hudson. "Actually, I've been involved in a project with Jon Hudson and Puffy [ex-FAITH NO MORE and current OZZY OSBOURNE drummer Mike Bordin] for the past few years, but it just didn't come together in a way that made me totally happy," Gould told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "There WAS a period of time when we were checking out Whit, and we worked on a couple of things, but it didn't really develop from there. It is possible that Whit is still working with Jon on another project [which is also believed to include M.I.R.V. bassist Craig McFarland—Ed.], but I'm not sure about that. If so, that's great."

Regarding his current activities, Billy said, "since I was beginning to get a little frustrated, I decided to take a break from that project [with Puffy and Jon], produce a couple of bands, and get my label [Kool Arrow] in order, which I've been doing for the past 4 months or so... Right now I'm getting ready for a dual release (FLATTBUSH and DON CIKUTA) on Sept. 9th. After that, I will be getting something together. But I'm not going to put out any old shit, if you know what I mean. It will have to be something I'm 100% behind."
