BEYOND THE EMBRACE Singer Comes Down With Throat Infection, Band Cancel Dates

May 13, 2004

New Bedford, Massachusetts-based sextet BEYOND THE EMBRACE were forced to cancel their previously scheduled appearances on May 13 in Baltimore, MD and on May 14 in Binghamton, NY due to vocalist Shawn Gallagher coming down with a throat infection. "We'll be taking two days off at home for Shawn to recuperate, and we'll be picking up the tour on Saturday (May 15) at Jarrod's Place in Attleboro which will act as our hometown CD release show," guitarist Oscar Gouveia said in a statement. "So get there early as the doors will be at 7 p.m and we'll be going on early. The Club doesn't have us listed because they're idiots but we are definitely playing that show. As for the PRONG dates we'll be missing we will be hitting both of those states on the ICED EARTH tour in June so check our website."
