BELPHEGOR: Photos From The Studio Posted Online

Austrian blackened death metal outfit BELPHEGOR entered Andy Classen's (LEGION OF THE DAMNED, DEW-SCENTED, NEAERA, ASPHYX) Stage One Studios in Kassel, Germany earlier this week to begin recording their new album. The follow-up to 2008's "Bondage Goat Zombie" will contain nine new compositions and is tentatively scheduled for release in early September via Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented vocalist/guitarist Helmuth: "Just returned from the second studio session, completed all rhythm guitars and Serpenth laid down the bass lines. The nine sound collages started to show their grim face and I can say we're pretty damn pleased, totally blown away by the evil atmosphere. All sound more epic than ever, with lots of cold, haunting melodies, we also added a lot of new elements/structures to our sound."

The band adds: "The Masterplan: Hexenwahn - Totenkult. As opposed to previous tales of the inquisition, this focuses upon the darker, more dismal of the mighty, powerful witches who conjure and worship demons. Those who have a pact with the forces of hell through the occult. The concept deals with demonology, witchcraft/ Hexenwahn, depraved suKKubi, blackest erotica, and as always, the grand devil, himself."

"Bondage Goat Zombie" entered the Austrian album chart at position No. 42 upon its release in early 2008. The CD also landed on the German chart at No. 81.

BELPHEGOR's video for the CD's title track can be viewed below. The clip was shot with acclaimed Austrian director Florian Werner.

"Bondage Goat Zombie" was recorded at Andy Classen's Stage One Studios in Kassel, Germany.
