BELPHEGOR: Early Albums To Be Reissued

October 20, 2004

Austrian death/black metal act BELPHEGOR will release a two-disc set in early December containing their early albums "The Last Supper" (1995) (with the original cover/booklet) and "Blutsabbath" (1997) (which has long been out of stock),plus a 24-page booklet — all for the price of single CD. "We are going to distribute the twin-monster ourselves and via Twilight Records (Germany),since we would only get in trouble with the marketing if we used the original covers (and we are intent on using the original artworks for the re-releases...)," the band write in a press release. "Therefore we're gonna do it over the smaller and the dignified that still know what brutal metal stands for and that don’t shit their pants..."

The first 500 copies will be handnumbered and will come with an original gasmask.

As previously reported, BELPHEGOR entered Mastersound Studio in Fellbach, Germany last month to begin recording their fifth full-length album, tentatively due in March 2005 through Napalm Records. Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Goatreich – Fleshcult", "Crown Massacre", "Anus Dei", "Burn the Cross", "Swarm of Rats", "The Cruzifix", "Seth - Demon of Death", "Fornicationium Et Immundum Diabolus" and "The Stigmatized".

BELPHEGOR will embark on a mini-tour with DISASTROUS MURMUR in mid-November, to be followed by their appearance at this year's X-Mass Fest alongside MARDUK, NAPALM DEATH, FINNTROLL, VADER and BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. A Brazilian tour is tentatively scheduled to take place in February/March.
