BELIEVER Signs New Record Deal

October 5, 2008

Guitarist/vocalist Kurt Bachman of the reactivated late '80s/early '90s technical-thrash metal band BELIEVER has posted the following message on the group's MySpace page:

"We have been mixing [the new BELIEVER album] and are almost 50% finished. We are extremely stoked with the mix so far and think you will all be pleasantly surprised as well. It's heavy, it's unique, it's BELIEVER and beyond. We hope to finish mixing in the next few weeks and then on to mastering. We have also signed a three-record deal that includes worldwide distribution, but we'll wait for the official press release to let you know who it's with and when the potential record release date will be. It's an exciting time in the BELIEVER camp, to say the least! There will also be new merch available for this record with amazing artwork. Please stand by for more info in the weeks to come and thanks again for your patience."

Regarding what fans can expect to hear from BELIEVER's first studio album in 15 years, Bachman previously said, "Will it sound like 'Extraction from Mortality' [1989], 'Sanity Obscure' [1990], 'Dimensions' [1993]? Well, we think you'll hear a splash of each, but we didn't set out to just rehash the old. That would be boring and offer nothing new for you to hear. With that said (and I will remind you again once the release date draws closer),if you don't expect a total rewrite of the past then we think you'll be pleasantly surprised."

The new BELIEVER CD will include guest appearances by Joe Rico (SACRIFICE) and Rocky Gray (EVANESCENCE, SOUL EMBRACED, LIVING SACRIFICE),among other musicians.

BELIEVER's albums "Extraction from Mortality" (1989),"Sanity Obscure" (1990) and "Dimensions" (1993) were made available in November 2007 via Poland's Metal Mind Productions in a new digipak edition on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology and limited to 2,000 numbered copies.
