Bassist MARTY O'BRIEN Lays Down Tracks For New TOMMY LEE CD, Watches MÖTLEY CRÜE Rehearse

December 8, 2004

Bassist Marty O'Brien (TOMMY LEE, 3 FACED, ex-KILGORE) has posted the following message on his web site:

"The KELLY CLARKSON CD that I played on, called 'Breakaway', was released this week. One of the songs I played on, 'Because of You', is going to be the next single at radio. The songs were co-written and produced by Ben Moody and David Hodges, (both formerly of EVANESCENCE). The songs also feature Ben on guitar and David on piano.

"Last week I laid down some bass in the studio for the next upcoming TOMMY LEE CD. It was Tommy and I, and guitarist Phil-X, all in one room, jamming out the rhythm tracks. There are no headphones in the world that can compete with the volume of Tommy Lee hitting drums right in front of you. Earlier that day, I was sitting in a dark room watching MÖTLEY CRÜE rehearse. Now THAT is what I call LOUD.

"Recently, I layed bass tracks for a CD titled 'Safety Dunce' by JASON HOOK. This is an amazing guitar instrumental CD with heavy, aggressive tunes. Jason is an amazing guitarist who used to play for Mandy Moore, Vince Neil, etc... He is currently touring in Hilary Duff's band."
