Bassist JOEY VERA Reports On ANTHRAX European Tour

July 27, 2004

Bassist Joey Vera (FATES WARNING, ARMORED SAINT, SEVEN WITCHES) has posted the following message on his web site:

"Hey y'all, I know it’s been some time since my last update but I've been away as you know. Seems like I just got back from the ANTHRAX European tour yesterday. These past two weeks have flown by.

"The Euro tour was great. Highlights were London, Glasgow, Dublin, Italy, Belgium and Holland. Greece was memorable too but not for the show as it was cancelled due to a crooked promoter who sold a bunch of tickets to the festival we were to play and then left town without paying anybody. The only saving grace was that we were in Athens for a few days off and we enjoyed the hospitality of the guys from Metal Hammer magazine. Many thanks to the dinner club!

"I gained 10 pounds between Italy and Greece.

"After a few days off here at home, I began a recording session that's kept me busy just about every day until I leave for the second leg of the ANTHRAX tour which starts on July 28. More on the session and who it is later...

"In a couple of days I head back out to Europe for the final summer part of this ANTHRAX tour. Again I’m looking forward to it and playing some places I’ve never played such as Prague, Warsaw and Budapest. Should be killer.

"I'll be home by mid-August and finish up this session I started, then wait for a few things to pan out for the fall.

"That's it for now and for all of you Americans, get ready to register to vote. And get ready to NOT vote for Bush. Enough already."
