BALLISTIC, the new band featuring former DEUCE / TENSION / WARDOG mainman Tom Gattis, along with JAG PANZER members Rikard Stjernquist (drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar), are on the verge of inking a North American deal with the New York-based AR Records. The group, who recently signed with Metal Blade Records for the European territory, are aiming for a July release date for their self-titled debut album. The band formerly known as AFTERBURN will begin work on their debut full-length CD at a Phoenix studio in March with longtime co-producer John Herrera before traveling to Germany to mix the effort with Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, SILENT FORCE, PEGAZUS). According to the group, the upcoming CD will be "much heavier and faster" than the band's 2002 "Gone Ballistic" three-song demo.
