AXL ROSE Urges His Fans To 'Vote Blue' In Midterm Elections

October 28, 2018

Axl Rose is urging his fans to go with Democrats in the midterm elections next month.

The GUNS N' ROSES singer took to his Twitter on Sunday to post a photo of a vote-by-mail envelope along with the caption: "Vote Blue... Bitches!!"

The midterm elections are on Tuesday, November 6. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives will be voted on during the midterms, because members run every two years. Thirty-five seats in the 100-member Senate (members serve six-year terms) are on the ballot this year as well. So are the governorships in 36 states.

A victory for the Democrats over the incumbent Republican majority could make life harder for President Donald Trump, who may find it more difficult to pass bills through Congress.

Axl is no fan of the current occupant of the Oval Office, having taken to Twitter a number of times in the past couple of years to slam Trump, his administration and his policies.

Back in November 2016, Rose condemned then-President-elect Donald Trump's choice for U.S. attorney general, and berated Trump for demanding an apology from the cast of the Broadway show "Hamilton" after then-Vice President-elect Mike Pence was booed when he attended the musical. One month later, Rose invited fans at a GUNS N' ROSES concert in Mexico City to beat the crap out of a large piñata designed to look like Trump.

This past January, Axl blasted the Trump administration as the "gold standard of what can be considered disgraceful."
