Australian METALLICA Fans Get The Jump On Concert Tickets

July 14, 2003

Megan Connellan of Australia's The Border Mail reports that freezing cold, dark and uncomfortable Mr. Michael Durrant would not have missed it for all the METALLICA CDs in the world.

Mr. Durrant, 20, set the alarm for 4.30 a.m. Monday (July 14) to line up in Albury to buy tickets for METALLICA's Melbourne concert on January 28.

He said he would not have missed standing in line for tickets at 5:00 a.m. and was busy studying the seating chart to find out where he would be in the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

"I love heavy music but the best thing about METALLICA is that there is always meaning in their songs," Mr. Durrant said.

"The tickets cost $131 but I would have paid double that amount for tickets."
