ASCENDENCY: New Songs Posted Online

August 12, 2007

After years of hibernation, the beast known as ASCENDENCY is starting to crawl out of the filth and slime of the sewers it dwelled in for ages. The Belgian band/project is writing new tunes of disaster and agony. Four of them can be heard on the group's MySpace lair.

According to ASCENDENCY's official bio, "This entity got assembled somewhere around 1995. The first generation of tunes were recorded and put on disc that same year resulting in two demos later combined on one disc. This contraption was named SOULSEARCH. As time passed the two protagonists lost eye on each other. Resulting in absolute nothingness... Now 10 years later, thanks to technology, the two minds behind ASCENDENCY return with new material. This second incarnation is an improved and stronger version of the first. Now looking for a label, The Chalice and HammereR will continue to write new material and record it. Even if it's just to torture the eardrums of those interested."
