ARMY OF ANYONE: Go Behind The Scenes Of 'Goodbye' Video Shoot

September 1, 2006

ARMY OF ANYONE, the new band featuring FILTER's Richard Patrick (vocals),former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS members Dean (guitar) and his brother Robert DeLeo (bass),and ex-DAVID LEE ROTH drummer Ray Luzier, filmed a video for its first single, "Goodbye", on August 22 in downtown Los Angeles.

For the video, ARMY OF ANYONE enlisted director Scott Speer, a 24-year-old newcomer whose credits include SWITCHFOOT's "Stars" and TEDDY GEIGER's "For You I Will (Confidence)", according to MTV.com.

"When he walked into the meeting, I thought, 'Great, someone's junior manager is in here. When's the director get here?' " Patrick joked on the set. "And then he goes, 'I am the director.' But he's got a vision and he's talented and he knows his way around the camera."

A behind-the-scenes look at the video shoot for "Goodbye" as well as three short clips of the music video have been posted online at YouTube.com:

A radio-edit version of "Goodbye" is available for download at this location.

ARMY OF ANYONE's self-titled debut album is scheduled for release on November 14 via Firm Music, the new artist-friendly label launched by ARMY OF ANYONE's management company, The Firm.

The new music company, with records to be distributed by EMI Music in the U.S. and licensed for territories around the globe, will take the unprecedented step of splitting all profits with the artists signed to the venture rather than the traditional royalty structure. ARMY OF ANYONE and multi-platinum recording artist and actress MANDY MOORE are the first to sign to the company.

Patrick previously stated about the new group: "I hope that fans of both FILTER and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS will be as ecstatic about the music as I am. Although it is not the album you were expecting from me, I'm confident that you'll be very pleased with the result. FILTER will always be close to my heart, but ARMY OF ANYONE is my priority right now."
