Century Media Records has licensed the upcoming MARDUK full-length, La Grande Danse Macabre, for North America, marking the first time the infernal black metal act will have proper distribution in this country. Recorded and mixed at the infamous Abyss Studios with Tommy Tagtgren at the production helm, the album reportedly features the band's most extreme material to date. Among the tracks set to appear on La Grande Danse Macabre are: 'Obedience Into Death', 'Bonds Of Unholy Matrimony', and 'Jesus Christ- Sodomized'. Look for MARDUK to tour with DEICIDE in May.


Switzerland's melodic metallers EMERALD have started the recordings for their new album at TSO Records Tonstudio in Oberland, Tentlingen (Switzerland).


Northern California residents can catch former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist GILBY CLARKE with his band STARFUCKERS (featuring Gilby, STRAY CATS' Slim Jim Phantom, L.A. GUNS' Tracii Guns and L.A. GUNS' Stefan Adika) at the following shows:

Christian metallers LIVING SACRIFICE are due to support PROJECT 86 on a Midwest/South/West Coast tour beginning May 1. After those dates, they are set to join ZAO and LUTIKRISS on a tour that will cover most of the rest of the country, to be followed the group's appearance at the prestigious Cornerstone festival.


PINK CREAM 69 have entered the studio to start recording their new album, due to be released through Massacre Records in August/September.


Germany's EVEREVE have signed with Massacre Records and are presently putting the finishing touches to their new album, E-Mania, at Communication Studios in Frankenthal, Germany.


THE MISFITS will perform a gig at New York's Roseland Ballroom on April 18 to celebrate the group's 25th anniversary. The show in question will be taking place exactly 25 years to the day after the group's first-ever gig at CBGBs in New York City in 1977. According to the band's official web site, 'very special guests will be appearing to perform and you'll hear all of your favorite THE MISFITS tracks, old and new, live and loud!' Although THE MISFITS have yet to announce the identity of their new drummer, Jerry and Doyle have recently been jamming regularly with none other than former THEMISFITS / BLACK FLAG drummer Robo. However, it is not clear whether Robo will end up being a permanent member of the band.


Florida's NEUROTICA, featuring former ATHEIST vocalist Kelly Shaefer, are currently shopping a new demo to interested labels with a view toward releasing a new studio album later in the year. Among the new titles set to appear on the upcoming CD are: 'Life Like Rain', 'Can You Feel This', 'All My Friends Crush You', and 'Red Room'.


Montreal's OBLIVEON have parted ways with Hypnotic Records 'in quest of something more suitable for its aspirations', according to a statement on the band's official web site. 'New songs are being written in order to shop for something new, with the goal of making another album.' OBLIVEON recently split with vocalist Bruno Bernier and are presently fronted by bassist Stéphane Picard, who sang for the band throughout the late '80s and early '90s.


PANTERA will be heading off to Alaska, Korea and Australia in May, but plan on returning to the US in June for a three-band bill also featuring SLAYER and STATIC-X. MORBID ANGEL may appear at some of the dates as well.


QUEENSRYCHE bassist Eddie Jackson and wife Teresa welcomed a son into their fold. Evan Samuel Jackson was born February 27th at 4:57pm. He was three weeks early but he and Teresa are doing just fine. Evan was born at 18 inches, weighing 5 pounds 7 ounces. According to QUEENSRYCHE's official web site, about an hour after Samuel was born, Eddie, Teresa and Samuel were resting in their room and Teresa wanted to hear some music. Eddie turned on the radio to KISW and the first thing they all heard was QUEENSRYCHE's 'Silent Lucidity'.


New York's PIST.ON are in the middle of planning a European tour. Dates and venues will be announced shortly.
