Former ANTHRAX frontman Neil Turbin has resurfaced after a long silence and has launched an official web site at this location. According to the postings on the site, the vocalist has been writing songs with several different recording artists for an upcoming release and has been jamming around the Los Angeles area with SILENT RAGE and with Michael Warren, among others. MACHINE HEAD fans may also want to pay particular attention to the “Kodak Moments” section of Neil's web site, where an early TURBIN band photo features a rather “young”-looking Dave McClain (MACHINE HEAD drummer) in a pose that the skinsman had deemed embarrassing enough to have asked us not to publish several months ago when the existence of it was first brought to the drummer's attention (much to the amusement of MACHINE HEAD frontman Robert Flynn). The hilarious photo can be viewed at this location.

MTV Brazil has reported that GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Buckethead has left the band. No official comment on the matter has yet been made.

Here is the official statement from Swedish melodic deathsters GARDENIAN regarding the recently published false rumors of the group's split (as reported here over the course of the last few days):

...

“To all our fans and the whole 'Sindustries'.

...

“All rumors about the GARDENIAN split is a totally wrong and false information, we are still kicking it and are working our asses of to make the new killer songs, find a new label and come out on tour to kick some ass.

...

GARDENIAN has always worked as a team when it comes to the music and important decisions. If one of us feel that he wants to put all his efforts into his own project we wish him the best of luck, but we don't accept if false rumors are created to benefit his own purposes on GARDENIAN's cost.

...

“We can only apologize for the inconvenience and confusion it may have caused anyone in anyway.

...

“So stand assured there will be a another one coming your way, and this will only make us stronger!

...

“To find out the latest news about GARDENIAN feel free to visit our website at http://sindustries.cjb.net”

...

Although there is only a thinly-veiled reference to it in the above message, it is believed that the rumors of GARDENIAN's split were fueled in large part by the statements of former drummer Thim Blom, who is said to have parted ways with the group under acrimonious circumstances. GARDENIAN recently left Nuclear Blast Records, citing promotional, tour and support problems as reasons for the amicable split. According to the group, “GARDENIAN was NOT kicked [off] Nuclear Blast. Period. GARDENIAN did not feel that Nuclear Blast and themselves were reaching for the same goals, The guys had no promotion, no tours, no support from Nuclear Blast... So they decided to find another label who believes in GARDENIAN and [the band] was, after a short discussion, released from their contract with Nuclear Blast. GARDENIAN and Nuclear Blast 'divorced' under quiet and friendly forms, so the bullsh.t about a big fight between NB and GARDENIAN is a big lie.”
