The following came to us via the YNGWIE MALMSTEENOfficial Fan Club mailing list:

...

'I spoke with YNGWIE last night, and he asked me to send this notice to the Fan Club mailing list. It is uncertain at this time who will be available for the short South American tour, so YNGWIE is willing to listen to audition demo material from professional musicians who are thoroughly familiar with his music (especially the set list played on this tour).

...

“Qualified musicians should send their audition packets as soon as possible to the Fan Club address. I will forward the audition packets to YNGWIE and he will contact anyone he has a serious interest in. The audition packet should include the following:

...

'01. At least one 8x10 color photo (must be a current photo!).

...

'02. A professional-quality demo tape or CD (video is preferable, but audio will be accepted). If possible, please include samples of YNGWIE's songs, especially those played on this tour (see the Concert Feedback section of yngwie.org for set lists from the shows).

...

'03. Contact info: your phone/fax number, e-mail address, postal address. If you have an agent/manager, please include contact info for that person also.

...

'04. Typed resume of your performing/recording experience. This must be REAL experience — YNGWIE is very good at distinguishing genuine musicians from inexperienced wannabes.

...

“If you have questions, please e-mail Anne at [email protected]. Thanks!'
