ARCH ENEMY: Visa Delay Forces Band To Miss Philadelphia Show

April 26, 2004

Sweden's ARCH ENEMY have posted the following message on their web site:

"We are extremely sorry to announce that we will not be able to begin the MACHINE HEAD tour at the Trocadero in Philadelphia on Wednesday 25th, due to problems obtaining a replacement US visa in Germany for singer Angela Gossow. Obviously, bands/musicians are not allowed to work in America without a valid US visa. She is therefore unable to fly to the US as planned with the rest of the band.

"When we were initially sorting visas out for this trip, we had been assured that there would be no delays or problems with this, but it seems there is a significant backlog in Germany and we are now being told that it will take another couple of days before we can be certain to get the required paperwork. We have now ascertained that there is apparently nothing we can do to change the overall situation. Despite this, every effort is being made to rectify this situation as quickly as possible so that Angela can travel to the US to commence the tour later this week, possibly for the NYC show on Thursday.... keep a close eye on the website over the next 48 hours for details/updates (which will be posted the minute there are any more developments)...

"We apologise unreservedly to MACHINE HEAD, and all ARCH ENEMY fans in Philadelphia who have bought tickets to see the show."
