APRIL DIVINE Announces New Bassist

Swedish outfit APRIL DIVINE, which released its critically acclaimed debut album "Chapter One" (Ninetone/Universal) in January, has recruited POWERTRIP bassist Peter Uvén following the departure of Andreas Lundqvist. According to a press release, Uvén is best known for his "stunning" work with death metal outfits AZURE and EMBRACING, and more recently with heavy rock act POWERTRIP on their album "Cold Black Lie".

Commented APRIL DIVINE drummer Per Karlsson: "We are psyched to to have [Peter] in the band! We were halfway into the audition when we just looked at each other like, 'He's in!' It just felt and sounded so right, you know?! He brings a lot of energy and creativity to the band so I think APRIL DIVINE is gonna have have yet another dimension to show the world from now on. And for all you fans out there I can tell you that we have another album and tour on the line for 2008. So keep your eyes and ears open!"
