ANTHRAX Webmaster Responds To Comments By Lilker, Milano

January 6, 2002

The webmaster of ANTHRAX's official web site at www.anthraxtheband.com has issued the following statement in response to the comments made by former ANTHRAX/current S.O.D. bassist Danny Lilker and S.O.D. frontman Billy Milano regarding the upcoming VH1Behind The Music special focusing on the group, and the band's treatment of Lilker (who believes that he is not being given proper credit by the current members of ANTHRAX for coming up with the group's name): “Love Billy, love Lilker, but I don't care what they say, or supposedly say. I know for a fact Lilker was on the list to be interviewed by VH1 but they narrow it down to what they want and not who ANTHRAX wants. Thus [METALLICA guitarist] Kirk Hammett's on the show. Why? Why can't ANTHRAX have who the @#%$ they want? Simple, VH1's show, they decide. Ratings. Why do you think there's so many ex-band members, ex-girlfriends, ex-managers etc. on [other] Behind the Music [specials] talking smack about the group on the show? Because the band wants it? No, because that makes for a juicer hour of television.”
