ANTHRAX Guitarist Checks In From Europe

June 17, 2004

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has posted the following message on the band's official web site (as part of his regular online column, dubbed "Alpha Mail"):

"Comrades, if it's Wednesday it must be Glasgow, and you know what that means. Tonight has been sold out for a while and will probably be the best show of the tour. Last night in Manchester was amazing and will be hard to top. We came back after 'Noise' for another encore and that never happens.

"So far this tour has been great. The killer shows have absolutely made the fact that we had no bus and were in a van trivial. The shows in France were great. Especially Lyon. I promise we will be back. Paris was better than last time as well. London, Nottingham and Manchester were all amazing. We've played these places three times in the last 16 months and it gets better every time!! Jack (John's new name) Bush did an incredible flip off the top of the PA stack last night. He jumped up and out as well which made it huge. He was 20 feet off the ground. Thank you for catching him.

"It was a treat to have HATEBREED with us even for two shows. They are the type of band that really makes you work hard. Their van broke down and they couldn't make the Manchester show. Hopefully we'll get to play together again.

"The opening band the last few nights has been a band called BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. Watch out for them. They kick ass. Mel Gibson is out on tour with us. He apoligizes for the 'Passion' and is currently nursing a hangover. We went to Where The Monkey Sleeps this morning and devoured the Manfosh. It's a sandwich in case you were wondering. Charlie got his own custom Manfosh kit. Mmmmmmmmmmm, torched HP sauce.

"This tour has been so great already and we've still got so many cool places to go. Greece is going to be sick. Holland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, it's all going to kill."
