ANTAGONIST Signs With PROSTHETIC RECORDS

February 1, 2008

Prosthetic Records has announced the signing of Southern California metal band ANTAGONIST. The band's Prosthetic debut, entitled "Exist", will be recorded beginning on March 1 with producer Fred Archambault (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, THE CONFESSION, DEFTONES). The follow-up to 2006's "An Envy of Innocence" (Dwell Records) is tentatively due in the summer.

"We're very happy and excited to finally announce our signing with Prosthetic!" guitarist/vocalist Carlos Garcia says. "These guys have treated us like family since day one and they really believe in the music we're making. We're all very anxious to enter the studio and even more pumped to get out on the road and play all the new shit for everyone."

ANTAGONIST's videotaped statement regarding the band's new record deal can be viewed below.

Earning its keep in the local and national scene since 1998, and with two prior full-lengths to its credit, ANTAGONIST has already logged time hit the road with the likes of LIGHT THIS CITY, THE FACELESS, WINDS OF PLAGUE, SILENT CIVILIAN, and fellow SoCal metallers THE FUNERAL PYRE, among others.
