ANNIHILATOR: 'Ten Years In Hell' DVD Due Early Next Year

October 18, 2004

ANNIHILATOR guitarist Jeff Waters has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"So far, asides from the mountain of old footage me and the Campbell Bros. are going through, I can tell ya one cool section that will be on the 'Annihilator: Ten Years In Hell' DVD (due for release sometime in the early spring 2005):

"Many former members have filmed themselves talking about their time and memories in ANNIHILATOR and what they are doing now. This includes already-done footage from Mike Mangini, Coburn Pharr, Neil Goldberg and others.

"Still to come, footage from Ray Hartman, The Glove, Russ Bergquist, Aaron Randall, Rampage and others!

"I am still trying to contact Randy Black and Wayne Darley, to name a few. Randy B. is not sure he wants to be included on this DVD, despite offering him a long segment where he could play you fans some ANNIHILATOR tunes, talk about his drumming, his many years with the band and what he is doing now (PRIMAL FEAR and drum clinics). I know you all would love to see him in this; me too! C'mon Randy! The world's best drummer = Mike Mangini and Annia-Drum-Legend = Ray Hartman are in; we need ya too cause you are right up there with the big-guys and kicked hard for ANNIHILATOR too!!

"Gonna be a cool thing; trying to get some live footage of the 'Never, Neverland' line-up and the Dynamo fest in Holland, from MTV Europe! That would be cool but lotsa killer stuff will be on this; almost thinking of doing 2 DVDs.

"Gonna make a decision on the company that will do this, this week. Been waiting for one of the labels for many weeks so decision-time is here!

"Merchandise will soon be avaliable on the www.annihilatormetal.com web site, as well as from some other companies. As well, there will be some rare CDs/audio (live bootlegs/first-ever live gigs/1st 2 demos) for sale.

"Still have one Gibson Goth Jeff Waters V for sale (no use for it — endorsed by the mighty ESP — a fans' delight!!). Go here.

"Another REALLY KILLER offering will be a CD of the 'All For You' album but with NO RHYTHM GUITARS. Guitarists will be able to jam along with Mike Mangini, Dave Padden and myself to the WHOLE NEW CD. As well, I will put just the rhythm guitar tracks by themselves, so that kids can hear exactly what I am playing!

"Also working on Jeff Waters signature series Flying V guitar line. Will be avaliable here on the site.

"Lots more; remember a WARNING TO ALL METAL BANDS: Waters is (occasionally) avaliable to mix your band's CD. Contact: [email protected] BUT ONLY for serious enquiries, please.

"EXCITER ('80s Ottawa, Canada speed/thrash metal kings) will be releasing most of their catalogue through Megaforce Records New York soon. A Jeffy-re-mastering job. Look for one of the CDs, 'Violence and Force', to come out this year while the rest in early 2005.

"I will be announcing a really cool 'Jeff Waters Live In His Studio' clinic/instructional/for-the-fans live on the net event. (thanks to my guitar-hero, (back in the '80s!) Joe Bevacqua, for the great idea!) This should happen in January/February 2005 and will certainly be something for ALL ANNIHILATOR fans and ALL rock/metal guitarists. If it goes well, I might make it a regular event.

"'Jeff Waters - Annihilator/Metal Guitar' DVD will be recorded in the next few months but will not be released until summer 2005.

"AND there are 2 very cool projects I will/am working on with some seriously killer musicians! Stay tuned although I won't announce this for a few months!"
