June 9, 2005

Brazilian metallers ANGRA have posted the following message on their official web site:

"ANGRA is confirmed to play at the Lorca Rock Festival, which is taking place on June 18th, 2005, at Huerto de La Rueda in the city of Lorca, Spain.

"The fest, which is known as one of the most traditional in the country, is celebrating its 8th edition this year and bands like IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER and LACUNA COIL are also playing.

"ANGRA will leave Brazil next week and head straight to Spain, bringing with them the winner of the MTV Brasil promotion, a person that’s covering the tour as an MTV reporter.

"After Lorca, the band will go to Italy. They will play on June, 21th, 2005, in Florence, at the Fucecchio Afiteatro Buca D'Andrea, on June 22th, 2005 in Ascoli Pisceno, at the Piazza Del Popolo, and on June 23th in Padova, at the Vila Pisani. All these shows will be done with DREAM THEATER and LABYRINTH.

"After all these performances, which are part of the 'Temple of Shadows' tour, ANGRA will get back to Spain on June 25th, 2005, to play at the Bull Rock Festival, which takes place in Laengro, a city nearby Olviedo.

"After the release of the 'Temple of Shadows' album, ANGRA won in all categories of the various readers' polls held by Brazilian magazines, such as Rock Brigade, Roadie Crew, Valhalla, Disconnected and Rock Underground. The band was also praised by the international press. In Japan, for example, by important magazines like Burrn! and Young Guitar. Last but not least, ANGRA was awarded in several music websites, such as Brazil's Whiplash. 'Temple of Shadows' was voted the best heavy metal album of 2004 by 89FM radio station and received the 'Prêmio Claro de Música' — a Brazilian music award, in the same category."
