ANGELINA JOLIE Says She Fought For KORN To Record Song For 'Lara Croft'

July 23, 2003

Angelina Jolie, star of the upcoming film "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life", is featured in the video for KORN's brand new track, "Did My Time", which was shot in downtown Los Angeles last month.

Jolie said of the clip, "I wasn't looking to get involved in that kind of stuff or do videos, but it's a part of doing the film and I thought the song represented [the character Lara Croft] really well, and so I agreed to be a part of the video, and I liked the way it turned out, and it was just… But I think the song, I think it was great to have a really hard energy for her, it could've been anything. It could've been a pop song that the studio insisted on, and I fought for it to be a band that had a certain kind of edge and strength and so I think it suited her."

"Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" hits theaters on Friday, while KORN's "Did My Time" will be found on their new album, due this fall.
