ANDREW W.K.: Reaching The Heights Of Euphoria

April 7, 2003

Contrary to previously published reports, ANDREW W.K.'s forthcoming album is being produced by Mario Dane and Frank Vierti and at the moment has no confirmed title. Between 10 and 25 songs are being recorded for the new CD, which is tentatively set to surface in August/September through Island DefJam Records.

Says Andrew, "The whole point of this new CD is to reach the heights of triumph, glory, and euphoria... I'm trying everyway I can to get that going!"

Among the tracks set to be included on the forthcoming album are the following:

01. Violent Life
02. Never Ending Party
03. Close Calls With Brick Walls
04. Kicks and Bricks
05. Addicted to Life
06. I Am Totally Stupid

In addition to the upcoming CD, ANDREW W.K. has plans to release a new DVD at the end of 2003 or in early 2004. "I'm working on that right now... it might be a little while, you know, a few months, but is in the works," he says. "It's going to be a lot of cool stuff: songs and live concerts and weird crazy stuff and piano banging and raging and slamming - you know how I do it! So all I can say is keep your eye peeled back your ear wide open and your back bone cracking and the DVD will come someday!"
