ANCIENT RITES Part Ways With Guitarist

Belgian black metal act ANCIENT RITES have parted ways with guitarist Jan "Yrkki" Örlund (ex-LACRIMOSA/PRESTIGE) due to personal differences. A replacement guitarist has yet to be announced.

ANCIENT RITES recently issued a live CD and DVD, entitled "And The Hordes Stood As One". The DVD, the bulk of which consists of a live show recorded on Jun. 14, 2002 at club Biebob in Vosselaar, Belgium, has a running time of two hours and includes such extra material as "a documentary [filmed] on [the band's] Finnish tour in 2000, a video collage and a picture gallery!" according to the group's official web site.
