ANATHEMA are officially free agents as a result of having been dropped by BMG/Zomba after their previous label, Music For Nations, was folded into parent company Zomba Records Group (the world's largest independent music group). The band are currently considering new offers. Any companies wishing to contact the band about their current situation can reach them at [email protected]As previously reported, ANATHEMA will be playing a special acoustic show at London's Mean Fiddler as special guests to BLACKFIELD, a new project featuring Steven Wilson of PORCUPINE TREE and Aviv Geffen. The show will take place on September 10. Tickets are now available from Ticketmaster. ANATHEMA are continuing to tour in support of their seventh studio album, "A Natural Disaster", which was released in the U.S. in February through KOCH Records/Music For Nations. The follow-up to 2001's "A Fine Day to Exit" was recorded and mixed at Parkgate Studios near Hastings, U.K. (except for two songs, which were mixed in Nottingham at Electric Mayhem) and was produced and engineered by Dan Turner. Cover artwork was handled by artist extraordinaire Travis Smith.
