As previously reported, longtime AMORPHIS singer Pasi Koskinen left the band in August. Pasi's last live appearance with the band took place at the Kontu Rock festival on August 21.

AMORPHIS' most recent CD, "Far From The Sun", received its long-overdue North/South American release last month through Nuclear Blast Records. The album is packaged as a special version with three bonus songs, including an acoustic version of the title track, "Far From The Sun".

Koskinen will release the third album from his "black/dark metal" project AJATTARA, entitled "Tyhjyys" ("Emptiness"),on November 11 through Spinefarm Records. Recordings for the CD took place at Savonlinna's Sundi Coop studio, where AJATTARA recorded their earlier releases, "Itse" (2001) and "Kuolema" (2003).
