AMARAN Part Ways With Bassist, Seek Replacement

May 25, 2003

Bassist Mikael Andersson has left Sweden's AMARAN. "Micke has contributed a great [deal] to what AMARAN has become and it will probably be hard to find a bassplayer as talented as he is," guitarist Kari Kainulainen wrote on the band's official web site.

AMARAN, who feature in their ranks former members of MOURNING SIGN, are seeking a replacement for Andersson. Interested partied can contact the group at [email protected].

As previously reported, AMARAN recently completed work on their second album, "Pristine In Bondage", due late summer through Listenable Records.

"Pristine In Bondage" was recorded at Studio Underground in Västerås, Sweden and contains 13 new songs that the band are describing as "much heavier" than the material on the group's debut, "A World Depraved".
