'All-Star' KISS Tribute Band Performs At Norwegian ALARM AWARDS

BLACK DIAMOND BRIGADE (photo#1, photo#2),a one-off collaboration between Knut "Euroboy" Schreiner (TURBONEGRO, guitar),Billy Gould (FAITH NO MORE, bass),Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven (SATYRICON, guitar),Torgny Amdam (AMULET, vocals) and Tarjei Strøm (RALPH MYERZ, drums),performed at the Alarm Awards in Bergen, Norway on February 14. According to the group's official web site, "the band opened the show with BLACK SABBATH's classic 'War Pigs'. After playing the song's intro for 45 seconds, they kicked off with [a cover of KISS'] 'Black Diamond' and totally kicked ass!"

As previously reported, BLACK DIAMOND BRIGADE's version of "Black Diamond" (Windows Media) is one of the tracks featured on the compilation CD, entitled "Black Diamond", due in Norway on February 23 through Universal Records. Also included on the album are original recordings by BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, DIAMOND HEAD and MOTÖRHEAD.

BLACK DIAMOND BRIGADE's song was released as a CD single (inclunding a video clip) and a limited-edition picture single (300 copies only) last month and managed to climb to position No. 6 on the official Norwegian charts before dropping down to No. 7 the following week.
