ALICE COOPER Names New CD

June 24, 2003

ALICE COOPER has set "The Eyes of Alice Cooper" as the title for his forthcoming CD, tentatively due in the fall. The album was produced by Andrew "Mudrock" Murdoch (GODSMACK, POWERMAN 5000) and was recorded in the same stripped-down manner as ALICE's demos. "I said, 'Mud, you've got to do this album,'" Cooper told Rolling Stone. "Within a day, I'd signed him." Cooper's longtime producer/collaborator Bob Ezrin also contributed on the back end. "I don't go into any project without him having a role in it," he said of Ezrin. "He'll be straightforward and say that something is just half a song or that something else is really good. He's sort of our Obi-Wan Kenobi."

The first leg of ALICE COOPER's Bare Bones Tour will kick off in Walker, Minnesota, on July 12, with additional dates to extend into the fall.
